ACME commissioned more than 1,700 megawatts in the last year, and now has around 4 gigawatts of executable capacity, with a plan to complete 2 gigawatts in the next calendar year and another 2 gigawatts the year after that. During the recent quarter, ACME signed over 550 megawatts of solar and FDRE (firm and dispatchable renewable energy) contracts, along with 550 megawatt-hours of battery storage. “It was a very good quarter for us in terms of PPA signing,” Dhingra said, noting that the capacity utilisation factor (CUF) also rose 107% year-on-year due to the increase in installed capacity. The company is also working on phased commissioning of battery storage projects at sites where central grid connectivity is already in place. These projects, totalling 1.8–2 GW, will be operationalised partially on a merchant basis until PPAs kick in. ACME aims to commission 2–2.5 GWh of battery capacity over the next six to eight months.

In terms of revenue generation from storage, Dhingra shared, “If we are selling one-hour storage, we’ll be selling 2.5 gigawatt-hour; for two-hour storage, it’s five gigawatt-hour.” He noted that current peak power tariffs are around ₹8.5–₹9 per unit, offering margin potential after accounting for charging costs.
