Goafest 2023: EssenceMediacom bags media agency of the year at ABBY One Show Awards

EssenceMediacom, the WPP-owned company got 122 points. The agency also picked a Grand Prix for Whisper India's The Missing Chapter.

At the ABBY One Show Awards 2023, EssenceMediacom picked up the Media Agency Of The Year. The WPP-owned company got 122 points. The agency also picked a Grand Prix for Whisper India's The Missing Chapter.

Whisper India's 'The Missing Chapter’ campaign targets mothers of young girls. Conceptualised by Leo Burnett, the campaign, which is the fourth edition of Whisper's #KeepGirlsInSchool (KGIS) movement, aims to normalise periods and remove the fear and trauma that can surround the monthly cycle to help empower girls to go about their normal lives.

EssenceMediacom won a total of 20 ABBYs for brands like Google, Cleartrip, Ariel, Thums Up, Adidas, Samsonite, and Gillette, among others.

Mindshare picked 106 points and took home 18 Metals for brands like UltraTech Cement, Bru, and Yum Restaurants India, among others. Madison Media scored 68 points and bagged 11 metals for brands like Asian Paints Royale Glitz, Mountain Dew, Go Cheese, Vicco, among others.

The ABBY One Show Awards 202 attracted a total of 3301 this year over 3021 last year. A total of 63 media agencies participated this year in the awards. against 54 last year. In terms of entries, 1019 total entries were received from media agencies against 1014 last year.
