Ritesh Tiwari, who currently holds the position of Executive Director, Finance & IT, and Chief Financial Officer at Hindustan Unilever (HUL), is expected to transition into a global role, according to CNBC-TV18.

The development comes shortly after HUL announced the resignation of its CEO, Rohit Jawa, marking one of the shortest tenures for the company’s top post in recent history. Jawa is set to be succeeded by Priya Nair, who will take over as Managing Director and CEO.

In a statement to CNBC-TV18, HUL said, “At Unilever, we consistently nurture talent and groom leaders. Our career planning includes equipping our people with broader skills and experiences.”

Priya Nair’s appointment is historic, making her the first woman to lead HUL as MD and CEO in the company's 92-year legacy.

Nair joined HUL in 1995 and held several sales and marketing roles across Home Care, Beauty & Wellbeing, and Personal Care businesses. Her significant contributions led her to become the Executive Director, Home Care, HUL between 2014 and 2020, thereafter, the Executive Director, Beauty & Personal Care, HUL from 2020 to 2022. Subsequently, she went on to become the Global Chief Marketing Officer, Beauty & Wellbeing at Unilever. Since 2023, Priya has had a successful tenure as President of Beauty & Wellbeing, one of Unilever’s fastest growing businesse

Tiwari is a global finance leader with rich experience in leading diverse teams across the UK, India, and other Asian markets. He is a future-focused, high-energy, results-oriented business leader driven by his purpose 'Reimagine possibilities and bring value with values.'

He joined Unilever as a management trainee in 1999 and held roles across core finance, demand planning and procurement within India and South Asia early in his career. He also played a pivotal role in Unilever's performance management, leading the strategic scenario planning and response during the COVID-19 pandemic.

An active industry leader, Tiwari firmly believes in the mantra of 'Collaborate to Compound.' He is an Independent Director on the board of ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce), the Chairman of the CFO Council of FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry), a member of SEBI’s ESG Advisory Committee (EAC) and the Past President of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

HUL CFO Ritesh Tiwari likely to take up global role

Kia India announced the appointment of Atul Sood as senior vice president – sales and marketing, effective July 11, 2025. He will report to Joonsu Cho, chief sales officer, Kia India and will lead the brand’s nationwide sales strategy and operations.

 

Sood brings close to three decades of experience in the automotive industry to Kia, having most recently served at Toyota Mobility Solutions and Services India (TMSS) as president and director. 


His proven track record in pan-India business growth, dealer network expansion, and customer-centric innovations positions him as a key driver for bolstering Kia’s leadership position in the Indian market and driving the next phase of growth.

 

Prior to this, he held roles at Toyota Kirloskar Motors and Toyota Motor Asia Pacific. He holds a PGDM in Marketing from Symbiosis Centre for Management & HRD (SCMHRD, Pune) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology.

Kia India appoints Atul Sood as SVP – Sales & Marketing

Salil Dalal, who led Pidilite Industries as chief business officer - construction chemicals, has tendered his resignation in order to pursue new opportunities outside the organisation. His last working day is on August 22, 2025.


Since joining Pidilite in 2012, he has led and developed multiple key businesses and channels. Before taking the helm of the construction chemicals business, he served as the CBO for Fevicol. He also led the emerging India Business, where he was responsible for driving growth of all of consumer and bazaar products in small towns with populations below 2 lakh and rural markets. 


In his stint as president of sales and marketing for Fevicol, Dalal strengthened the brand through successful digital campaigns, innovation pipeline, and developed initiatives for market share gain. Dalal began his journey in Pidilite as the president sales and marketing for Pidilite’s Rurban business, and tripled the sales and distribution reach of the business in 3 years.


Before joining Pidilite, he spent a decade at Asian Paints, working in Sales, IT, Marketing, and Services. He has also held stints at Future Group and Nokia.


Dalal is a B.Tech graduate in mechanical engineering from Banaras Hindu University and holds an MMS from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).

Pidilite Industries' CBO - Construction Chemicals Salil Dalal steps down

Apple has announced the elevation of Sabih Khan as its new Chief Operating Officer. The move, effective July 8, 2025, places Khan, an Apple veteran of 30 years, at the operational helm, succeeding long-time COO Jeff Williams in what the company called a "long-planned succession".

Khan, who was born in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, and later raised in Singapore, joins the growing list of Indian-origin executives leading global powerhouses. His appointment reinforces Apple's strategy of relying on deep operational expertise to navigate a complex global supply and manufacturing landscape.

“Sabih is a brilliant strategist who has been one of the central architects of Apple’s supply chain,” said CEO Tim Cook in an official statement. “He has helped pioneer new technologies in advanced manufacturing, expanded our footprint in the U.S., and driven sustainability efforts that cut Apple’s carbon footprint by over 60%. But above all, Sabih leads with his heart and values.”

Khan holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. 

He joined Apple in 1995 after working at GE Plastics and became SVP of Operations in 2019. His leadership has been especially praised for ensuring supply chain continuity during the pandemic, as well as his role in Apple's green manufacturing goals and responsiveness to global logistics challenges.

Apple's new COO Sabih Khan joins club of Indian-origin global tech leaders

Titan Company, part of the Tata Group, has announced key leadership transitions as it gears up for its next phase of growth in its jewellery and watches divisions.

Arun Narayan, who currently leads Titan’s Tanishq India business overseeing retail, marketing, and merchandising, will become CEO of the Jewellery Division effective January 1, 2026. 

Narayan, a postgraduate from IIM Calcutta and a Tata Administrative Services cadre member, has nearly three decades of experience within the Tata Group and Titan across retail, marketing, and sales. Since April 2020, he has steered the Tanishq India business, having earlier held leadership roles including Regional Business Head (West), Helios Business Head, and National Sales and Retail Head for Titan watches.

Meanwhile, Kuruvilla Markose, currently CEO of Titan’s International Business Division, will succeed Suparna Mitra as CEO of the Watches Division effective August 13, 2025. Markose, who holds an MBA from IIFT New Delhi and a degree in agriculture, joined the Tata Administrative Services in 1995. His career spans nearly 30 years across FMCG, telecom, BPO, consulting, digital, and retail sectors within the Tata Group. Since joining Titan in 2015 as Chief Digital Officer, he has led the company’s international expansion across watches, jewellery, and eyewear.

Titan names new CEOs for Jewellery and Watches Divisions as leadership transition continues

McCann Worldgroup announced the appointment of Ida Rezvani as president, global chief client officer, McCann & McCann Worldgroup. In this newly created role, Rezvani will enhance value and innovation across the network's global portfolio of clients, leveraging her 20+ years of client leadership experience working with global brands at Publicis and Dentsu.

“My strongest female role model has been my mother,” Nair wrote in Storyboard18 in 2022, reflecting on the formative influence that shaped her leadership. Her mother, a doctor who runs a small clinic in the alleys of Mumbai, has spent decades caring for underprivileged patients, charging minimal fees and serving through the COVID-19 pandemic, even after contracting the virus herself.

“It’s from her that I have learnt the power of purpose, to keep yourself going at all costs,” Nair wrote. “If you are fortunate enough to discover your purpose, which I have in my work, you will have the strength to manage all volatility and uncertainty.”

She wrote: "I have learnt that it is the power of the inner compass that gives you conviction, energy, and optimism." 

Nair’s appointment comes at a time of transition for HUL as Rohit Jawa steps down after a short tenure. Having led Unilever’s beauty and wellbeing business globally, Nair returns to lead HUL with nearly three decades of experience building some of India’s most beloved brands and shaping category strategies in a rapidly changing market.

But beneath the strategies and quarterly results lies a leadership philosophy anchored in two lessons learned from her mother: the power of an inner compass and the commitment to lifelong learning. Even in her late seventies, Nair’s mother attends seminars and keeps up with medical advancements, taking notes diligently and sharpening her practice.

“This learning agility is very critical in management,” Nair wrote, adding that the fast pace of change requires leaders to continuously learn not just on the job but also from peers and industry. It is a mindset that drove her to enroll in a Harvard Executive Leadership Program after 25 years of corporate experience, returning to the classroom to refine her skills.

“My mother has raised two successful daughters,” Nair shared. Her sister is a respected surgical oncologist at Tata Hospital, and Nair herself is now poised to lead one of India’s most valuable companies, influencing the lives of millions of consumers across the country.

Nair’s journey stands as a reminder that even the highest offices in corporate India are often built on the quiet, steadfast examples set at home. As she prepares to lead HUL into its next chapter, the lessons learned from a mother who serves with humility and purpose will continue to guide her through the complexities of business — and beyond.

In a leadership transition at one of India’s largest consumer goods companies, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) announced that Rohit Jawa will step down as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director on July 31, 2025, closing a chapter in a career that has spanned nearly four decades across Unilever’s global operations.

A graduate of St Stephen’s College with an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Jawa has also completed executive programs at IMD Business School and Harvard Business School. Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) today announced that Priya Nair, currently President, Beauty & Wellbeing, Unilever, will be appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, HUL, effective 1st August 2025. Nair joined HUL in 1995 and held several sales and marketing roles across Home Care, Beauty & Wellbeing, and Personal Care businesses. Her significant contributions led her to become the Executive Director, Home Care, HUL between 2014 and 2020, thereafter, the Executive Director, Beauty & Personal Care, HUL from 2020 to 2022. Subsequently, she went on to become the Global Chief Marketing Officer, Beauty & Wellbeing at Unilever. Since 2023, Priya has had a successful tenure as President of Beauty & Wellbeing, one of Unilever’s fastest growing businesses.

Rohit Jawa will step down as CEO and MD on 31st July 2025 to pursue the next chapter in his personal and professional journey.

Jawa took over as the CEO and MD of HUL in 2023. During his tenure of over two years, the company delivered volume-led competitive growth. He introduced the ‘ASPIRE’ strategy that is driving the business to transform portfolio and channels towards high-growth demand spaces. Rohit has held many notable roles across his successful 37-year career, including Executive Vice President North Asia and Chair Unilever China, and Chair of Unilever Philippines, two of the most important Unilever operations, in which he achieved notable success.

Thanking Jawa for his invaluable leadership, Nitin Paranjpe, Chairman HUL said, “On behalf of the Board of HUL, I would like to thank Rohit for leading the business through tough market conditions and strengthening its foundations for success. The Company took decisive actions to sharpen the portfolio and further stepped up its market leadership over the last two years. I wish him the very best for the next chapter in his life.”

Welcoming Nair back to India and to HUL, Nitin added, “Priya has had an outstanding career in HUL and Unilever. I am certain that with her deep understanding of the Indian market and excellent track record, Priya will take HUL to the next level of performance.”
