YouTube reported a 13% Year-on-Year rise in its ad revenue in Q2 as compared to $7.66 billion in the same period in 2023

Alphabet-owned video platform YouTube has continued to grow at a double-digit clip in the second quarter of 2024, posting $8.66 billion of ad revenue as per exchange filing.

YouTube reported a 13% Year-on-Year rise in its ad revenue in Q2 as compared to $7.66 billion in the same period in 2023.

In the first quarter of the current year, YouTube's ad revenue stood at $8.1 billion. Notably, the advertising figures exclude subscription revenue from YouTube's business).

Overall, Alphabet's revenue stood at $84.7 billion up from $74.6 billion a year ago. While Google search made up the majority of the revenue, the other platforms and devices business (YouTube TV, NFL, YouTube Premium) accounted for $9.3 billion of the revenue.
